  1. I just want to say “Thank You” to all the coaches and members of Dropping Plates.
In February I took an Army Physical Fitness Test and scored a 277. A respectable score but not where I wanted to be. I joined Dropping Plates n late February and my first WOD took place some time in early March. This morning I took an APFT and scored a 289 and dropped a minute from my run time. A gain of 12 points and a solid minute off my run in approximately two months is, in my mind, a success story. Does this mean I’m elite? Not by any means. But with the continued coaching and mentorship of Greg, Sean, Andrea, and the continued pressure to compete with my fellow athletes at Dropping Plates I will be elite. This is my goal.

  2. Been a week of doing WODs with the beginners class, and i am hooked on this sport hardcore. I can already see a difference in my fitness and cannot wait to continue on the path to being a healthy person. Thank you so much DPCF staff for being here.

  3. Joining the DPCF program has been the best decision I have made with regards to taking my fitness seriously…I love the teaming, support, and the accountability that Greg has instilled in each of his classes. I am anxious going to each class, in awe of the workout we are about to do, smoked at the end of the WOD…then wondering what we are going to do the next day!! Thanks Greg, Sean and the rest of the DPCF staff for keeping this 50 year old man honest and pushing me past my limits! I hope my “box-mates” are also reaching their goals!

  4. Absolutely life changing box with amazing staff/coaches! I walked into DPCF approx. one year ago having never participated in crossfit before. I was a slightly overweight (albeit strong) body builder/powerlifter and I was terribly out of shape. I had high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I could lift a small bus but could barely run 2 miles in under 17 minutes. After a year of training at DPCF, I am no longer on blood pressure medicine, have lost 15 lbs and sleep much better at night. Thanks to DPCF, and their awesome coaches, I am in the best shape of my life and absolutely love every grueling WOD we push through together!!! Great box with even better people!!!

  5. DPCF is an excellent representation of our CrossFit community. I was at FLW for three weeks; Greg, Luana, Kylie, Craig and the team have an excellent facility to support regular members and traveling CrossFitters. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a WOD or LeanFit class!

  6. I have to admit, I walked into DPCF for the first time as an absolute skeptic. I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought Crossfit was mostly hype than anything else. I’ve always been a fit guy and could top/max the Army physical fitness test without having to try hard at all however; I wanted to take my fitness to the next level. The results that I experienced in the first 30 days were absolutely amazing! My overall strength skyrocketed and my love handles melted off at the same time. Better yet, I love walking into DPCF every morning. The workouts are very different daily and will leave you feeling absolutely destroyed (in a good way)! The staff there is absolutely top notch. Having absolutely no Crossfit experience, Greg always took the time to ensure that I fully understood each movement/lift and that I was doing it properly prior to the WOD. Last time I checked that type of one on one attention costs $40 an hour in your “typical” gym. What is hard to explain is the feeling of becoming part of a family after joining; you just have to experience it to know what I’m talking about. Additionally, Greg and Karen constantly host events and workouts to support the military and the surrounding community without asking for a dime in return. No matter where I go in the military, DPCF will always be home.

  7. This is where my CrossFit journey began. Here I established strong fundamentals and standards, which with experience have become increasingly important to me; also, I met some of my absolute favorite people here. Family and community are also deeply rooted within the box. With Coach Greg’s and other trainer’s assistance I progressed from the basics to competing within a year. I was already in great shape but my fitness level truly excelled here, I gained so much strength, both mental and physical. Every class has something to offer from the women’s WOD to Olympic lifting and Monster WOD. The Olympic lifting course is very structured and focuses on the fundamentals of each lift; this class is more structured and individualized than other classes I have attended at other boxes. Dropping Plates CrossFit will always be my home box and remains my standard for comparison. I cannot say enough about how amazing my experience at Dropping Plates CrossFit was. Awesome box and awesome people!
